The European Commission and the European Economic and Social Committee are launching an open call for organisations interested in participating in the 7th meeting of the European Migration Forum, which will take place in-person on 20-21 October 2022, in Brussels-Belgium.

The European Migration Forum is a platform for dialogue between civil society and European institutions on issues related to migration, asylum and migrant integration. Its aim is to enhance coordination and cooperation between key players involved in the multilevel European governance of migration. It brings together European policy makers and civil society representatives to discuss and consult on key migration issues.

The 7th edition of the Forum, under the overarching theme ‘Youth inclusion: key to successful migrant integration’, will focus on the topic of youth inclusion and will in particular address: young migrants’ access to education and training; specific challenges and measures regarding integration of young refugees; legal migration: youth mobility, both in the context of education and labour mobility of young people; and finally, advancing participation and engagement of young migrants.

The call for interest is open until 23 August 2022. The objective is to identity organisations working in this field of migration, namely the integration of young migrants, and youth organisations, whose expertise and contributions could bring added value to the European debate on this area. A separate selection procedure is held for each meeting of the Forum.
