Somehow, 2026 arrived at full speed. Between welcoming new team members, launching new training opportunities, working on the revamp of the Participation Resource Pool (coming soon – stay tuned!), and helping shape the future of Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps, time moved quickly. So quickly, in fact, that our 2025 highlights are only landing now.
But better late than never, as the saying goes.
Looking back, 2025 was a year of connection, collaboration, and strengthening the foundations of participation across Europe. Together with National Agencies, partners, practitioners, and programme beneficiaries, SALTO Participation & Information (SALTO PI) continued supporting democratic participation through resources, training, networking, and strategic cooperation.
Some highlights from the year include:
- Engaging more than 53,000 users through the Participation Resource Pool
- Reaching over 1,800 participants through 23 international events
- Co-creating 31 new evidence-based resources
- Publishing 24 news items and showcasing 10 flagship participation projects
- Connecting 53 National Agency (NA) representatives through the NA Participation Network
- Launching and continuing 10 joint projects with European partners
From webinars and research studies to programme development and cross-sector cooperation, 2025 showed the strength of collective work in making participation more meaningful, inclusive, and impactful.
And while we are already deep into 2026 activities, we still wanted to take a moment to reflect on what was achieved together last year.
