ImpactBOX: New Learning Opportunities for more Inclusive Organisations

How can education and training organisations become more inclusive, accessible and sustainable? And what practical steps can they take to make this happen? These are some of the questions at the heart of ImpactBOX, an Erasmus+ project supporting education and training providers, civil society organisations and NGOs in developing more inclusive practices. The project brings together partners from across Europe to develop free learning resources, practical tools and training opportunities that help organisations address challenges related to inclusion, participation, digital accessibility and environmental sustainability.

A new online learning platform launching in January 2027

ImpactBOX is preparing to launch its free online learning platform in January 2027, hosted on the All Digital Academy (ADA).The platform will offer Open Educational Resources (OERs) and self-paced training courses, allowing educators, trainers and staff from education and training organisations to access the materials free of charge, anytime and at their own pace. The courses will focus on four key areas, each addressing different challenges organisations face when working towards more inclusive, accessible and sustainable practices.

Access and Participation explores the barriers that prevent people from accessing and participating in education and training. The course looks at how organisations can recognise these barriers, better understand the needs of different groups and develop more accessible and participatory learning opportunities.

Inclusion and Diversity focuses on how organisations can integrate diversity, equity and inclusion into their internal culture, everyday practices and decision-making processes. Topics include discrimination and unconscious bias, inclusive leadership, staff wellbeing, accessible communication and participation in organisational governance. Participants will also explore how to move from commitments to concrete DEI strategies and assess their progress.

Digital Skills for Inclusion examines how digital technologies can both create opportunities and reinforce existing inequalities. The course addresses digital exclusion, accessibility, the digital skills gap and emerging challenges linked to artificial intelligence. It encourages organisations to reflect on their use of technology and consider how digital tools and learning environments can become more accessible and inclusive.

Environmental Sustainability for Inclusion explores the relationship between environmental sustainability, social inclusion and the just transition. It looks at how environmental challenges and the transition towards a greener society can affect different groups unequally, and how organisations can introduce sustainable practices while taking social justice, accessibility and participation into account.

Together, the four courses aim to help organisations better understand these challenges and identify practical ways to improve their policies, working environments and activities.

Upcoming webinars and training opportunities

Alongside the online platform, ImpactBOX will organise a series of webinars and in-person training activities between 2027 and 2028. These activities are aimed at education and training professionals, civil society organisations and others interested in strengthening inclusive practices. They will provide opportunities to explore the project’s resources, exchange experiences with other participants and consider how different approaches can be applied within their own organisations.

–       Four thematic webinars | July 2027 – January 2028

Between July 2027 and January 2028, four webinars will be organised, each focusing on one of the project’s main themes: Access and Participation, Inclusion and Diversity, Digital Skills for Inclusion, and Environmental Sustainability for Inclusion. Participants will explore challenges related to these topics, discover relevant tools and approaches, and learn how to apply them in their own educational or organisational contexts.

–       International in-person training | February – November 2028

An international training activity is planned between February and November 2028, bringing together education and training professionals from different European countries. Covering all four project themes, the training will give participants the opportunity to exchange experiences, explore practical approaches and strengthen their capacity to develop inclusive practices within their organisations. It will also encourage collaboration and the exchange of ideas between professionals working in different educational contexts.

–       Local training activities | February – November 2028

Between February and November 2028, seven local training activities will be organised across five European countries: France, Lithuania, Serbia, Croatia and Spain. Three sessions are planned in France, with one additional session in each of the other four countries. These activities will target educators, trainers, staff members and other practitioners working in education and training organisations, civil society organisations and local networks. The project expects to reach approximately 85 participants in total, with 15 participants per session in France and 10 participants per session in Lithuania, Serbia, Croatia and Spain. Each training activity will be adapted to the needs of the local organisations involved, allowing participants to explore relevant inclusion challenges, work with ImpactBOX resources and consider how the approaches introduced during the training can be applied within their own organisations.
