Addressing the migration crisis through media and information education

Since 2015, the “migration crisis” has been a regular feature in public debate in France and in Europe, relayed by politicians, the media and social networks. It also finds many echoes in class, both by the emotion aroused among the students by the news of shipwrecks and rescues in the Mediterranean.



CELSA is a French communication and journalism school located in the West of Paris, and is part of the Sorbonne University.


CLEMI (Center for Media and Information Education), a service of Réseau Canopé, operator of the Ministry of National Education and Youth, is responsible for media and information education (ÉMI) throughout the French education system.
