Call to Analyse MIL and Digital Participation within Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps Projects

SALTO Participation & Information Resource Centre (SALTO PI) is announcing a call to researchers and experts in the fields of Media and Information Literacy (MIL) and Digital Participation (DP). With a vision to enhance digital citizenship and empower youth engagement, SALTO PI has launched a procurement call for a comprehensive analysis of projects funded under the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programs. 

The Quest for Insights 

The core objective of this initiative is to gain deep insights into the integration of MIL and DP within projects spanning 2021 and 2022. SALTO PI recognises that in an increasingly digital world, media literacy and active digital participation play important roles in fostering informed, responsible citizens. The aim is to explore how these vital concepts are interwoven into initiatives in the youth, education, and training sectors. Additionally, the insights gathered will enhance the understanding of how these dimensions relate to the participation priority. 

Mapping Trends, Uncovering Gaps 

The impending analysis aims to paint a picture of the projects’ landscape, highlighting trends, best practices, challenges, and potential gaps in the integration of MIL and DP. By examining Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps projects, the goal is to provide insights that contribute to enhancing the quality and impact of future projects. 

Call for Expertise 

The call is open to qualified service providers and research teams with demonstrated expertise in education, youth, and training fields. Successful candidates will embark on a journey that involves data collection, quantitative research, focus group interviews, and analysis. The outcome of this effort will be the creation of a report that not only highlights the presence of MIL and DP but also provides examples, recommendations, and a categorisation framework.
