Join New Power in Youth Partnership in Mapping Cross-Sectoral Youth Participation Practices
24 October 2024
The survey is part of a new mapping activity aimed at identifying inspiring practices of youth participation in democratic life through cross-sectoral cooperation. It is open until 6 December 2024.
The mapping is launched under the umbrella of “New Power in Youth” (NPiY), a strategic partnership between several National Agencies for Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps and SALTO Resource Centres.
The main aim of the activity is to identify and analyse inspiring practices of youth participation in democratic life through cross-sectoral cooperation.
The practices are collected through a survey form until the beginning of October and the results of the analysis are planned to be announced at the Participation Forum in November 2024 followed by a publication and an article featured on the Participation Resource Pool.
The mapping specifically focuses on the practices/projects that:
- have been done in collaboration between the non-formal Youth sector and one (or more) of the four formal education sectors: School Education, Higher Education, Adult Education, and Vocational Education.
- have as target groups either young people or professionals working with young people (eg. capacity-building opportunities for teachers/educators and youth workers to foster youth participation in democratic life).
- stimulate and promote youth participation in democratic life, addressing the way young people behave and interact with democracy.
- feature inspiring methods such as experiential learning methods, also referred to as non-formal or alternative educational methods.
- have the potential to be replicated with necessary alterations.
Those who are interested can find more details in the Guidelines and present their project/practice by filling out the survey form by 6 December 2024.
For questions, please do not hesitate to ask the youth participation expert in charge of the survey, Aleksandra Mangus, at [email protected].
