Citizen OS invites civic movements, community groups, youth organizations, non-profits, and local governments that actively engage people in decision-making to strengthen democratic inclusion, advocate for policy change, and protect human rights to join its Participatory Advocacy Conversation. This initiative aims to connect with organizations that champion participatory approaches to policy and governance changes by directly involving those affected in discussions and decision-making processes.
In a time when democratic spaces face increasing restrictions due to social, environmental, and political pressures, civic society organizations are called upon to collaborate, share knowledge, and work together on solutions. Recognizing this, Citizen OS has introduced a new project to foster connections with groups and organizations committed to advocacy, activism, and meaningful democratic engagement.
Through 30- to 60-minute calls, participants can share insights on the challenges they face in participatory advocacy, helping Citizen OS refine tools that support the efforts of like-minded individuals and organizations. In return, Citizen OS will share its research findings, enabling organizations to apply new insights to their work and drive stronger impact.
This collaborative effort highlights the importance of combining voices and strategies to foster a more participatory society—because, as Citizen OS emphasizes, achieving meaningful democratic change requires collective effort.
