The Youth Work e-learning partnership (YWeLP) Project’s learning module on non-formal learning and youth participation introduces concept & opportunities of non-formal learning in youth work, concept and models of youth participation in youth work and examples of participation experiences.

The module includes three units covering

  1. Non-formal learning: concept & opportunities in youth work;
  2. Youth participation: concept and models in youth work;
  3. Participation: Lived experiences.

Each unit contains an interactive video along with downloadable resource material that can be accessed on a variety of devices. All videos are subtitled in English and last for about 20-30 minutes.

Youth Work eLearning Partnership is an Erasmus+ funded KA2 strategic partnership between five countries (Ireland, Finland, Estonia, Northern Ireland and Australia) that took place during the period 2017-2019. The project was coordinated by the Centre for Youth Research and Development [CYRD] in the Department of Applied Social Studies, Maynooth University with partners in Humak University of Applied Sciences in Finland, Talllinn University in Estonia, Ulster University in Northern Ireland and Victoria University in Melbourne, Australia.
