Description

We ask interested people and organisations to present us a scope and short description of an article concept presenting briefly what examples or data would be used, etc.

The selected authors will have their articles published in the Participation Resource Pool and on SALTO PI and related youth work channels (such as social media, newsletters, youth work magazines).

SALTO PI defines a more general and over-arching scope and it is the task of the service provider, based on reliable information and personal expertise, to suggest the angle and approach that would be useful, engaging and thought-provoking.

Application deadline: 13th July 2020, 23:59 CEST

The general scope:

  • How does or has the pandemic impacted youth participation in Europe?
  • What have been the challenges on European level? What could be the future challenges?
  • What kind of initiatives or approaches have been emerging to cope with this topic?
  • What have been and could be the threats and trends (also on policy level, long term, etc) that hinder (or foster new ways?) of youth participation?
  • What could be 1-2 practical examples / case studies that illustrate the reality/trends/problems/solutions

Other:

  • Suitable for target audience (easy to read, well written and composed). In this case, we do not search for scientific type of contributions but are seeking for magazine/newspaper format stories.
  • Based on quality information (facts, other surveys, balanced)

Target group:
The articles will be created keeping in mind following target audiences:

  • Youth workers
  • Youth organisations, youth activists (staff and volunteers)
  • Less directly – decision makers
