Applications open for the MOOC on Digital Youth Work

The Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Digital Youth Work is planned to take place between 1-29 March 2021, and is open for anyone in the world, but mainly focused on youth workers and non-formal educators from Europe willing to learn about digital youth work.

Course objectives

  • To provide knowledge about digital youth work in Europe
  • To support the development of digital youth work by providing good practice examples and practical tools
  • To support sharing of good practices of digital youth work
  • To connect organisations and people interested in digital youth work development

Structure of the course

It will offer animated videos, good practice examples, self-assessment activities, sharing knowledge in discussion forums, resources, practical tools and tasks on the following themes:

  • Module 1: General introduction to digital youth work
  • Module 2. Digitalisation of society and impact on youth work
  • Module 3: Planning and designing digital youth work
  • Module 4: Information and data literacy in youth work
  • Module 5: Online communication
  • Module 6: Digital creativity
  • Module 7: Safety online
  • Module 8: Reflection and evaluation for digital youth work development

Organisers and contributors

The Lithuanian National Agency of Erasmus+ in the field of Youth coordinates this online course. The Erasmus+ National Agencies from Austria, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, and Portugal co-finance this course.
