The toolbox is a collection of civic tech tools available for various stakeholders interested in democratic participation. The interactive platform allows users to select tools based on their role as voters, public authorities, the general population, politicians and parties. Topic-wise the tools are clustered in several groups: generation of ideas, communication and project management, exchange of ideas, civic education, mobilising and campaigning, infrastructure planning, topic setting, elections and voting.

It was created as part of the Swiss #versusvirus hackathon 2020 and the organisers have an ongoing invitation for interested users to propose new tools that could be included in the toolbox.
