The European Youth Card Association (EYCA) has launched in November 2021 the report Youth Stand for the Future of Europe.
The report is part of the initiative #StandForSomething, led by EYCA and co-funded by the European Union, in the context of the Conference for the Future of Europe.
Some of its main findings highlight:
9 out of 10 young people are in favour of the European Union, eight of whom feel that additional democratic changes should be made.
8 out of 10 young people believe that the Conference of the Future of Europe should lead to more democratic changes in the EU.
8 out of 10 young people agree that a strict common EU climate law should be introduced for all Member States.
7 out of 10 respondents agree that the EU should introduce a legal framework on the consumption habits of citizens to help the environment.
8 out of 10 young people consider climate change, health and education as important priorities for the future of Europe.
