This lesson plan is designed to support climate education through the use of Google Earth tools. Educators working with children and young people aged 8 to 14 years old can use this hands-on document to increase youth skills related to: understanding which human activities are having an impact on the climate crisis; communicating the changes they see happening to their hometown/city; understanding what a Climate Activist is and learn about ways they are supporting Sustainable Development Goals.

The World’s Largest Lesson is a global project to engage all children in learning about the SDGs and using these as a stimulus for both Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) advocacy and local community action. Creative resources and training are provided to teachers and peer educators to enable them to engage children and young people in the Goals and local action.
